We are driven by passion, innovation, and commitment.
I’m Michael Williams, a Senior Software Engineer currently based in Miami, Florida, though my journey began in Queens, New York. With over two decades of experience, my career reflects a deep passion for technology, a commitment to innovation, and a constant drive to grow and adapt in an ever-changing field.
My first exposure to web development dates back to 1996, but it wasn’t until 2000 that I built my first fully-fledged website. Over the years, I’ve witnessed the evolution of web technologies firsthand. While the core principles of development remain steadfast, the tools and techniques are in a perpetual state of change. Staying ahead means continuous learning—a mindset I embrace wholeheartedly.
My programming journey began with Perl during the days when CGI scripts dominated. It wasn’t long before I discovered PHP and MySQL, initially through b2/cafelog, the precursor to WordPress. PHP immediately captivated me with its simplicity and speed. Back then, it was common to write, deploy, and iterate on code within minutes using FTP, even if the structure left much to be desired. I often think about how transformative tools like Git would have been for my early projects—I’d love to revisit and refine that old code!
Over time, my expertise expanded to include languages and frameworks like Java, Angular, React Native, and more. Alongside software development, I honed my skills in command-line interfaces and server administration, gaining a deeper understanding of the infrastructure that powers web applications. These experiences have shaped me into a well-rounded developer capable of delivering robust, scalable solutions.
Looking back, I take pride in how far I’ve come, but I remain focused on what lies ahead. Technology evolves rapidly, and so do I—with every project, every challenge, and every opportunity to create something new.
Over the years, I’ve gained expertise in various tools and frameworks to deliver high-quality software solutions.
